Now I have sorted a few things out I am going to get back to writing advice for people doing a GTS rebuild. If you have read all 22 pages of my blog and there is a particular question that comes out of it let me know and I will try to answer.

Hello Frank, can I publish your last thread on the approval of the DVLA in the German forum? Then the boys and girls do not only see the officials spinning in Germany.

On the bright side you have finally got the V5, which will always show first registered date for the UK! There should be a note on the first page relating to actual age of bike.
Anyway congrats on an excellent job, are we going to see it out and about?

Any idea where I can get hold of a set of mirror springs that fit over the pegs on the fwd fairing - There's a circular spring that provides the peg clip tension and one of mine is missing.

They're part of the mirror assembly

I think you'd have to buy the whole mirror assembly, if you want genuine parts. That's what I was told when I wanted to buy the nylon retaining strap

I'll have to fit an external circlip then.

Thanks

Jorojin, just looking at this thread again for the umpteenth time and am so impressed at what you have done. I have enough problems changing fuses or the oil, let alone a task like this, I wish I had that kind of ability.
