Video Recording on-board!!

Postby rooyenan » Fri Jul 07, 2006 8:07 pm

Hey guys,

Audio, mp3, intercoms??? All very nice...

I'm working on another setup for the bike right now!!
Hope to have it up and running before August...

My son "found" a defective Archos AV700 device... Its a DVR; Digital Video Recorder
(for those that are interested to see the specs, just check www.archos.com)

Image

It plays Divx, Avi's, mp3's.... the lot! Just put your digital pictures on it etc!!!
One feature is what I want to use on the bike.... Recording...
It normally has a 100Gb hd, this one "only" 20Gb..
The setup will be: The device hooked up to the bike's power, stuck under the seat. Connected will be a bullet cam, mounted somewhere on the front indicator pod..

There will be a video of the complete Saturday tour!!

Sounds good! Will enjoy seeing the results.

I've been tempted to rig my camcorder up, but I'm just not brave enough to risk it!

I know somebody with a camcorder (hint hint OmegaChassis) and I can always use my new digi camera in the mean time, which does 640x480 30fps, but would I really want incriminating footage for Officer Dibble's satisfaction...oh no

And it's not like we can use the "foreign" language technique when being stopped by Officer Dibbles...'cos them Dutch folks have better schooling in languages....probably helps they can get BBC terrestial channels from Norfolk!!

You can always tell a child from Norfolk, by their 15 tiny fingers and 15 tiny toes.
