Neck & Headware

Heated fleeces, neck warmers, sweat-wicking underwear - these days you can buy the lot! But what's worth having?

Neck & Headware

Postby Dave Carey » Sun Jul 09, 2006 6:43 pm

:D :D

Neck & Headware,

Even Summer time I like my neck covered, a big bug burying its arse in your neck at speed or sharing helmet space with something that has gotten inside at a slower speed are both things that have happened to me and no doubt many others.

I have a shortie bib which will pull over the nose and tucks snugly down my jacket front and back. Helps with wind/fogging and all sorts.
Made from very light weight fleece like material ,,will wash and dry overnight.
Your Humble Servant
See YA!! :) :)

I have a fleece bottomed buff...which works well on the nasty bugs front. Always worn something on my neck whilst riding for the same reason Bear, likewise a pair of plastic framed (no metal) sunglasses for those visor up moments...stops getting bugs in your eyes. 8)
I've just started riding the GTS again, and it'll be changing

I must admit, I only wear anything like that when it's cold.

Saw a funky Buff thing the other day in Hein Gericke though - it's the same as the normal ones but with a little foam bit on, that works like a peak when you wear it on the top of your head off the bike. Top idea!

You don't know how tempting it is to take the p out of that line, with something like "And do you have your gloves attached to each other on a string and fed through the sleeves of your jacket?" Or .

But I am not like that so I will refrain from doing so.

You are right there Bard,
It hurts me right in the heart
to see my friends are softies

i have a hole in my head because of a stone that bounced of my face with 140 km/h.
And also a bumblebee with that speed is like kissing a full rotating drill.

Evrything for the hobby of motorcyle riding
See Ya...Rob

I want to die like my grandfather... in his sleep,
Not screaming... like his passenger...
