I went to the very first international GTS meeting in 1999 (I think)
It was all German riders, and they completely ignored me and my Wife.
We did our best, but they didn't even really acknowledge we were there.
It was very disheartening.
On the morning after we arrived at the hotel, we were woken to the sound of engines, and looked out of the window only to see them all going off for a ride that we weren't even told about.
It was a long way to go to be treated like that.
To this day it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
Sorry for the rant.

Not that I've been ever but things have changed alot over the years. All reports I've heard of Brits going to the Treffen have been more than positive

That's encouraging.
The one I went too was the very first meeting, and we were the only one's from the UK.
Rest were mainly German, with a couple of Dutch if memory serves.
It was still a good trip though, even though we did spend the entire time on our own

I'm sorry, but that is long gone that way. Question, for example, Mike Crane, Doug Long and others.

Well, I emailed my booking request to mcr@gts1000.net nearly 3 weeks ago now, and have not received a reply, so it doesn't look like anythings changed to me.
Perhaps they should call it the German GTS meeting, no Brits allowed,

That's nonsense, when we wanted to have no Brits, then I would have nothing posted here in the forum.
I'm sorry if the organizer does not respond to e-mails, I'll ask him at the meeting.

Yes, I saw you posted this on the German forum.
Well if after so many weeks, no one replied to my booking request, so I've given up.

We are sorry, but next year will be better, I promise. For this year, I can not change anything.

Too bad the British are out. Why? So a great idea of a united Europe, destroyed.
