Charity Meeting 2009

Postby Rob » Mon Mar 22, 2010 7:23 pm

Hello Guys,

As some of you know we always have a Auction during the European GTS meetings and the money goes to charity.

in 2009 we had so much left over that we decided to have 2 goals.
1 is a childrens home wo became 500 euro
2 is a Trucktour Tilburg were disable children are driving along for a day with 250 trucks, (where Chris and I drive on our GTS's to control traffic)

this charity became 1000 euro.

The Trucktour was so honoured that the gave us the opportunity to make a banner that will be placed besides the route on april 25 th(when the trucktour is) and the banners size is 3 - 1.7 meters.

Chris and I have made the following composision for it.

we may borrow it when we want so you will see it during the GTS meetings in europe.

Our thanks for the ones who made this possible for the disabled kids ( and I think then aspecially on you Mike because you bough some stuff dut=ring the meet)

See ya soon.

Rob.

Charitable donations

Yep, only me from the UK, Rob...but a lot of other European folks contributed too, not just by buying the stuff, but by giving it to the auction.

Besides, it wasn't worth changing my € to £, so I might as well spend it!

See you this year, might bring something for the auction too!
I've just started riding the GTS again, and it'll be changing

Hi Guys

Here an update,

Today we had the Trucktour Tilburg where you UK drivers (Mike and Ansco that is) had spend his good money on.

To give you an idea of what happend today,

You take 270 lorry's, 270 disable children end there companions.....mix that with 230 bikers wich control the traffic by closing the junctions for a save journey and you have a wonderful day.

For an image:

The bannier was gifted to us for spending 1000 euro of the tombola from GTS meeting 2009 for this good cause and it has become a beautiful advertising for the GTS.

Thanks again for your support.

Rob.
