Been leaving the decision to the last minute. Definitely NOT going this year (first miss in 6 years). My band has been offered a slot at The Great British R&B Festival (http://www.bluesfestival.co.uk/ ) in Colne on the Saturday evening, an opportuniy we can't turn down. Maybe next year if it doesn't clash. Hope you have a good 'un and the friggin rain stops!!

So.....

Does that mean DAF is the only one of you guys that's going to be there????

Treffen 2008

Postby 24c » Sun Aug 17, 2008 10:23 pm

I know I am not going, weekend work stops me going. I was hoping for a break, but it's not going to happen. OmegaC and I were going to sail from Harwich via lastminute.com, as nobody else seemed to want to go, so it looks like I'll be passing this year.

PS I think the fact that accommodation at the venue was scarce when we looked earlier in the year, also affected our decision. Nobody wants to have to travel back from a good slurp, a walk is too far

PPS Anybody get any T shirts from the 2007 Treffen?

PPPS I will try and visit my sister in Germany in September, but only if the missus will sit on the bike. I could do a flying visit detour and say hello to Chris, Mouse and yourself, and also my buddies in Germany too. 8)
I've just started riding the GTS again, and it'll be changing

Thanks for that, but I don't know when I'll be travelling yet...only thing hard booked is a works related training session for 22-27 Sept.

PS Saw your posts on the listserve site, so I knew you were going over.

Just checked the German website.... Apparently there is a delivery problem with the t-shirts from last year..
As far ad I can see they were never delivered and all people that already payed for the should get their money refunded!!
Let me know who already paid, so I can check the refunds!!!

looks like I'll have to borrow my daughters camera and relearn how to post pickies then.
Just in case anyone's got no plans for the weekend camping is still available at the site.
I've bought a replacement for my 15yr old tent for £22.

Thanks for the offer
