Nicked again but...

I can't guarantee that all (or even any) of the jokes in here will be suitable for younger viewers, but hopefully they'll all be funny!!

Nicked again but...

Postby yamerama » Wed Sep 22, 2010 10:00 pm

Came across a wonderful post signature today....

I'm an agnostic dyslexic insomniac, and I can't get off to sleep wondering just... 'Is there a dog?'

Well, it tickled me.

Slarty-bart-farst, would I be right in thinking you work, or have a business in Stoke on Trent? If I'm being nosy ignore the post btw, only I'm there too. Pals tell me you're named after a character in HGTG.

Yep, it's a Mr Adams creation...so your pals aren't wrong, but are you? That'd be telling...

You've got me there, is this a bit like a cryptic crossword clue? The 'twisted evil' emoticon's no help either. Do I need to actually have seen HGTG maybe? Hang on a minute, before I look a complete dick was it a radio programme...?

Forum is virtually dead at the mo, so a bit of fluff...

HGTG is not strictly correct, but I got your drift.

HHGTTG, H2G2 or Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was written by the now departed Douglas Adams, and there was a character called Slarty Bart Farst in it.

Thank you for broadening my horizons. Having looked at the wiki link it strikes me the series H2G2 is the product of a very fertile imagination.
Wish the wife was a bit more broad minded in that respect - I bought her a DVD box set of 1000 Stationary Engines as a romantic surprise and she's locked me out, thrown my clothes through a window and I think I can just hear the gun cabinet opening. I'm off. Women, eh....
