I'll have to work that one out in a bit. I'll post the details in the Orders thread.

I'll add you to that list too Kevin!

Captions!

I figured the best thing was just to put the locations

I have them as

January :

Well, actually, the page I'd saved them all on has crashed, so I haven't got them as anything! Lol

All I've done is take them from the competition pages. From memory, I need Mike's one from April, Chris' one from July, Mike's one from August and Ansco's from October.

It'd be nice and helpful if I could have those, to keep things consistent.

Cheers fellas

Guys,

I would like to start a discussion regarding the calendar.

I don't know what the plan is regarding the calendar lay out.
I mean if it is going to be a 2007 calendar or a month calendar without a year mentioned on it.

I would prefer the month calendar as it would be usable for more than 1 year...
Cheers,
Chris

April... Great Barn, Rivington, Lancashire

August (see orders)... Ashby de la Zouch Castle, Leicestershire taken in Museum Car Park

PS I thought this was all done, I would have retaken the April shot yesterday :x

PPS At this rate Chris, we might have to start the year at February  and about your suggestion for a flexible calendar...I thought it was going to be a yearly thing, so it kind of knocks that on the head.
I've just started riding the GTS again, and it'll be changing

This is exactly why I would go for a "Birthday" calendar.

The price of the thing is such that I would like longer use of it than 1 year.
For that price I would not be interested in buying a calendar every year

Chris

Cheers Mike for the captions. I'll update those and get them ordered today.

It can start from February if we want, which may not be a bad idea, since this is likely to be the situation each year. Quick responses to that before I do it all this evening?

Chris my friend, on another topic I have found a book which will come back with Ansco, It is not the all singing dancing Publication I had hoped to source but it does help to remind us of things we can forget from time to time.

Now the Calendar....

Steve.....Omega riders has it been such a big hit? I don't know to be honest, filled with the usual suspects... My suggestion to sweeten the deal, make any Calendar purchaser member of Omega Group.

That way we can maintain the theme of photography, which by itself gives us a reason to ride to undiscovered places and hopefully would justify an annual Calendar.

Yes our ducks are not quite in a row with the timing of the thing and I can understand why some members would balk at buying what they don't see as value.

My message to those is this...Our Club needs funding one way or another, if we are to maintain enthusiasm for the site then lets get behind it, make the Club yours...Steve has always said he would let the members decide the direction the Club takes. So guys it's down to us.

Less than a £1.00m a month to be able to log on and pick peoples brains, massive discounts on parts and ease and help with sourcing same, along with all the help and tips of how to maintain our great bikes.

My suggestion is to tighten up again on who can come on with irrelevant garbage or spam. All the informative sections blocked only to those who have a mebership.

Believe me this will not be making Steve a Rich fooker, and I'm sure that is not why he took redundancy.

Think about it...

Ok....a good suggestion there Dave.

As we've already set the price for this year, it's a bit late to incorporate the calender and membership together. However, for next year, we'll definately do it. We'll have to keep a nominal subscription fee for the Omega riders who don't want a calender.

I've outlined some other thoughts on Omega riders and spam etc in the Omega riders section for your perusal!

Just a thought...

Perhaps it's an idea to work one month ahead....

I mean choose February's picture in January etc.
This way the last entry is chosen in November which gives enough time to produce the actual calendar before January...

This would however mean that for 2007 we would need to choose 2 pictures in one month time to get that headstart.
Cheers,
Chris
