As a small example:

The word "language" which happens to be "langue" in French???

or how about:

example (English) = exemple (French)

IMHO to similar to be a coincidence (coïncidence en France)

Our language is hardly an adaption of French though. We may have some similar words that have derived from each others languages (as it's worked both ways), but the whole structure of the two languages is different.

Were it not, patriots of both countries would not find it so hard to learn each others languages.

I'm sure you found it easier to learn German than you did English, which is as a result of the two languages being very much in each others pockets, so to speak.

In fact, I'm led to believe that English is considered one of the hardest languages to learn. Not necessarily a good thing, and a great tribute to the massive number of people worldwide who've chosen to learn our language. Also a slap in the face for those of us over here who've never bothered learning another language, since they're apparently easier than ours to get to grips with.

:D :D

Fook it.. I'm with you Boss, hasn't anyone else noticed how much Steve dislikes the French!!

English as we know it is the world's language in commerce, followed closely by japanese if you want to count it in pounds/and dollars.

Now can we get back to being Bikers before we fall out.

No more reminding us Brits of our Heritage.

Now fook off

I thought all self-respecting Brits disliked the French?? And they us too, so it's all fair!

Anyway, managed to sort the garage into such a state that I can actually see the bike clearly today! So now I just need to make a path out behind it so I can go for a spin!

We've hit that magic number of 7. Seems all polls always get just 7 votes cast. Out of 66 members that's pretty bad!
