Postby rc30boy » Wed Apr 27, 2016 2:29 am

I need a fresh set of front swing arm bearings and Yamaha wants a fortune for them, any aftermarket options? Same with the fuel filter and air filter...Thanks in advance Oh yeah, I live on the west coast of the US.

For the fuel filter check:

Purolator F44661
Fram G6495
This filter was fitted to Mitsubishi Starion 2.6 V6.
Just check eBay!

Air filter: Have a look at:

Thanks Mike!!

I haven't looked into the bearings, but they may just be a standard press fit sealed bearing. If that's the case you should be able to just remove them and find a local bearing supply shop to match them up.

Thank you for the bearing advice, I am going to pull them and see what I can match locally. Several folks have suggested they have had success with this approach.

Pretty sure if you search on here enough you will find the part numbers for appropriate standard industrial bearings (or just take the old ones to a local supplier. Anything that will fit will probably perform more than adequately.

There is also this option for air filters:
http://faculty.virginia.edu/guilford/air_filter.htm
- Personally, I would take a Yamaha filter down to my local auto parts store and look for something other than a K&N I could cut up to do this mod.

Then again, new ones are only $13 on eBay:

I was looking for new fuel lines and fuel filter and thanks rooyenan for suggestions. Any suggestions for new fuel lines and replacement fuel filters available in Europe. I did a quick check for Purolator F44661 and Fram G6495 and these are mostly available in USA.

Did a little search on ebay.de and came across this Kraftstofffilt MITSUBISHI filter http://www.ebay.de/itm/Kraftstofffilter ... SwEeFVP2h9

Do you think this fits GTS. It is an OEM replacement filter for Mitsubishi Starion 2.6.
