Fast-boy tyres (as Nick likes to call them) or sensible sports tourers? What's your recommendation?

Cal Crutchlow's Dad & MotoGP

Postby 24c » Sun Nov 25, 2012 7:10 am

Well Rob, you jammy bar****, that was some courier service.

Cal has been one of my favourite riders in MotoGP this year, always hustling the bike, really trying to get the most out of it.

I would have had a good chat to his Dad, and sent my best wishes to Cal for next season, and although MotoGP is getting dominated by traction electronics, because most times the bikes have too much horsepower for the surface, occasionally you see a rider that can use this to their advantage.

I think Cal's been unlucky with his front end folding, running out of fuel etc, but I expect him to be top gun at Tech3 next year, as I haven't really seen Smith do much in Moto2 last year. Marquez is one to watch, as the last race in Moto2 confirmed.
I've just started riding the GTS again, and it'll be changing

Cal should have been Lorenzo´s team mate next year instead of Rossi.

Just my 2c.

If a man says he will fix it, he will !
There's no need to remind him every six months about it.

Well done Rob!

I look forward to picking up my copy of MCN in the morning. I hope the GTS gets a glowing write up. I really wanted to offer my bike to them, but sadly it's not yet up to scratch. Yours looks great in the pics above.

I think it is a good write up, and like you I wish I could have offered them a bike, never saw the post, but Rob's bike is in better nick than any of mine at the moment, so it is well done Rob.

Steve Linsdell had a few good words, and I liked the bias of the article saying to Yamaha, give us some new tech please aka GTS1000 updated.

Got my MCN today, I thought it was a fair and balanced write up. Except... "only 30 sold in the UK"? Did he mean at the initial launch in late 1992? 'cos I'm sure there are more than that here. After all, Yamaha made ten and half thousand GTS's and most were sold in Europe. Can anyone enlighten me where the figure of 30 comes from?
