Fast-boy tyres (as Nick likes to call them) or sensible sports tourers? What's your recommendation?

GT version.
I've put 2.9 bar on front and 2.9 bar on rear. Good idea? Not too much 'strain' on the front tyre?
Kind regards,

How much do you weight ?
Solo or duo riding ?
GT or Sport ?
With or without luggage ?
Flemish's concretes road or walloon's post-war roads ?
If a man says he will fix it, he will !
There's no need to remind him every six months about it.

Hi st Jean,
Indecent question? :-) But let's say I'm at a bit more than 30% of the bikes weight :-)
GT tyres, mostly without luggage and only one topcase filled with approx 25 kg.
Mostly Flemish main roads or highways (E17:E40), occasionally I visit and pass the Walloon's "incubation zoo" (I never saw such a nice collection of chicken nests, ostrich nests, elefant footprints, dinosaure claw tracks and the long longitudional cracks between the different lanes on a road or highway I can only presume to be snake nests, as on the Walloon's roads, so I imagine that they serve as a breeding zoo for Paridaisa :-) )

Just riding now with 2,9 on the front and handling is much much better. Only afraid for over wear and tear the tyres.
Kind Regards,
iLDC

You can easily go up to 3.5, so 2.9 F/R isn't much a problem.
As far I'm concerned, I would recommand 2.5 front, and 2.8 rear.

If the bike's heavy, add pressure
If the bike's slippery, decrease pressure
If a man says he will fix it, he will !

There's no need to remind him every six months about it.

I weigh emmmm ninetysomething and ride solo almost always. BT-023GT were the latest I mounted. 2,7 and 2,7 usually, a bit more if riding motorways with those looong straights so not to square them much.
