Re: Tapatalk

Yep, used Tapatalk on one of my Forums, and it's really useful for phone folks that need to keep in touch, but sadly my forum user demographics, couldn't understand what to do with it. I even tried to use a Simple Machines Format not phpBB, as they couldn't understand this either. In the end, it die...

Re: Proud wifey x

Late to the show, I didn't realise you'd got it up and running again Steve. As "Proud Wifey" says, I know how much time these Forums take setting up, but they are only as good as the members contributions. I've started a couple, but the target audience that use it are too old and have zilc...

I have been messaged by a couple of members telling me that i am wasting my time as the members in the club only talk about this problem ...no one has tried to fix it. As always in a Club with a technical vehicle, it will attract diverse opinions. It is by its nature a technical tour de force for t...

Hi again Strokers , You can see it here ...and it's not a normal looking ball joint, as most have a taper or side fixing bolt to fix. It might be possible to machine down a car or truck one if you could get something close, but I wouldn't hold your breath on this. The part number is 4BH2357900 It's ...

Hi Strokers When you saw lower balljoint, do you mean the main one under the front wheel hub? I only ask because usually these are pretty robust and only ever wear if they have been involved in an accident, or dry out. Usually the clunking and squeaking can come from the top arm bushes either side, ...

Good point Ansco, and also don't forget too, that the 10th placed bike in the IoM was using a deliberately thinned down GTS disc as well, and it didn't cause problems. The lack of airflow did. The idea of using deeper pistons is not an issue, as lots of people do this on other bikes, and is a cheape...

Hi again Peter, The problem isn't really the disk, it's the calliper. It is designed for that thickness of disc with those pistons, and it's also enormous, so it shields the disc from cooling air flow. I would try and use a smaller six pot calliper ideally, but it's quite a few changes to the bike. ...

Just for anybody else's benefit, a few folks have modded their front ends and fitted different discs and calipers. The place where I get my engine bits made, also does disc carriers, so I have a plan when I'm ready, and I also made enquiries with another company about making a new disc. I'll be look...

I'm with Pachi , Angel ST are a good everyday tyre, tried Diablos & Stradas before too. Stradas worked well in wet too, and over here they were cheap. Looking at changing the steering geometry, as Trond is quite right with what he said, but just got a load of other jobs in front of this. Plus I ...

Hi frede

Balance the throttle bodies, and check your spark plugs, ignition leads and caps.

It sounds to me like you have poor ignition/arcing etc, as that is the reason why I have hesitation normally.

Assuming you've found fifth gear remkovoogt! :P
Is that short journeys from cold or a fast run? I get close to 50mpg at 120kph, but half this at 240 kph. :)

Where is it losing oil? Can you see the leaking area?

Unusual fault, as seal is new (twice), and piston is clean? The seal groove was OK too?

Pachi , I'm only changing mine as I took them out to get the wheels powder coated. Devonian I don't like this sort, my originals had a solid rubber washer, not an O ring, and I bought some cheap ones off eBay like yours. The hex head nut doesn't fit well into the front wheel valve recess in the inn...
